Growing up, Powell’s was one of my favorite places. I mean it is literally a whole city block of books! I used to drag my parents to the Nancy Drew section every time 🖤

Grateful to have spent a day supporting one of my favorite local businesses, discovering new TBRs, and even doing a little research for my own series.

Taking a tiny step outside my usual writing content to share an absolute fangirl moment.

I saw Alex Warren live yesterday, and it felt so special getting to experience an artist whose music has become so connected to books, writing, and Rebecca Yarros’ stories—an author I love so much.

There’s something really amazing about being alive in a time when books are embraced so fully. Not just by readers and book lovers, but by the music world too. Where songs can become part of a story, books can bring new meaning to lyrics, and an entire concert can feel like a bookish moment.

As someone who has wanted to be a writer since I was little, it was such a surreal reminder of how deeply stories can reach people.

And yes, I absolutely screamed when he shouted out Rebecca Yarros.

Truly the perfect book girly concert moment. 🖤

I love fantasy, romance, horror, and almost anything with animals involved.

I was the kid who got in trouble for reading when I was supposed to be doing literally anything else, so I guess it makes sense that I grew up wanting to write stories of my own.

Now I’m working toward sharing my debut fantasy novel.

I’ll be posting writing updates, bookish thoughts, and pieces of the process as I work toward getting this story out into the world.
